Toll roads

Are there toll roads in Iceland?

 

Yes. There are currently two roads in Iceland where drivers are required to pay a toll:

• Vaðlaheiðargöng tunnel, near Akureyri in North Iceland. The toll can be paid online at www.tunnel.is.
• The new Ring Road through Hornafjörður, near Höfn in Southeast Iceland. The toll can be paid online at www.spolur.is.
